Ceramic Mold Making, Casting, Glazing and Firing

In 2018 I answered an open call set by ceramics company 1882 Ltd to design and make a a line of ceramic wares using casting techniques. I drew inspiration from calcite lines that run through stones found on the beaches of Ireland. 

I slip cast stone ware and experimented with different glazes before settling upon a dark oxide and wax resist technique to achieve a desired effect.

I made a set of 5 bowls and 5 small cups each with unique marking and colorations.
